The application of ADSS power cable in power system makes people question whether it can be used for operation construction in the condition of electric power. Can the ADSS cable operate live?

 

The answer is yes. Since all components of ADSS cable are non-metallic waterproof and flame retardant materials, this structure ensures that the ADSS cable itself is completely non-conductive and can be operated under the condition of power supply. From our customer group, we know that ADSS optical cable is commonly used in 35KV voltage lines. On high-voltage lines above 35KV, about 100cm away from high-voltage lines, it can be operated under the condition of power supply. However, in general, what we have finally proposed is power failure construction, such as non-special conditions.

 

It is necessary for construction personnel to pay attention to the following points:

 

1: during the construction, the ADSS optical cable shall not be wet or touch water. As there may be water holes near the construction site during the construction, the construction personnel are not careful and make the optical cable wet.

 

2: prevent outdoor work in the storm.

 

3. Do not touch the high-voltage cable with the fixed metal of the optical cable
